"I shopped my business every year for insurance. I received a quote from an employee of Ed Lazar's insurance firm. The quote was the lowest so I paid the insurance for a full year to get an added discount. About a month later I start to receive invoices for my insurance accounts. I inquired why since I paid in full for a year, I was told the agent misquoted me and so I needed to pay more. So now with the added premiums this quote is no longer the cheapest so I told my agent to cancel and give me a refund. I did receive a refund but ended up paying a premium adjustment for minimum premium and a short rate cancellation penalty. I finally did receive the short rate cancellation penalty after trying to explain what happened to Ed Lazar. I still do not understand why someone would have to pay penalties when the fault was caused by the company itself. This is kind of like the old "bait and switch.""
